Claude Code v2.1.296 added a code key to the Claude apps gateway managed policies, an autoCompactWindow option for subagents, a CLAUDE_CODE_WORKFLOW_SUBAGENT_MODEL environment variable, and updated Sonnet 5.5 cache reads to $0.10 per million tokens from $0.20.
