Privacy

Short version: an email address if you give one, what pages you open here, and a payment record if you buy. No advertising network, no data broker, no profile built from your behaviour anywhere else.

What is collected

If you subscribe: your email address, the date you joined, whether you want the edition by email, and a label if you arrived through a referral or an offer. That is the member record, and it is what the edition is sent to.

If you buy: Stripe takes the payment and holds the card. This site never sees or stores a card number. What comes back here is the fact of a subscription, its plan and its status.

When you read: which page, whether you were signed out, a free reader or a paying one, and, if you followed one of our own links, the twelve character source key in it. Product analytics run through PostHog on our own domain, so an ad blocker does not decide whether the count is right; your IP address reaches PostHog with the event and is used to place the visit by region.

In an email: whether it opened and which links were clicked, which is how a send is known to have worked at all.

What is never collected

No third party advertising pixel. No cross site tracking. No selling or renting of an email address, ever, to anyone. No profile of you bought from anywhere else. No cookie banner, because nothing here needs consent for advertising, since there is no advertising.

Who else handles it

The membership and the site run on hardware this publication owns, so no other company holds the member record. Stripe takes payments. Resend delivers the email. PostHog counts product events. Cloudflare serves the record and the domain, and its own page view beacon runs on every page here: it counts views and how fast the page loaded, sets no cookie and does not fingerprint you. Each one sees only what its job needs, and each one is a processor acting on instructions from this publication.

How long

A member record lasts until you delete it. Product events are kept for one year. A payment record is kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, which is seven years in the United States.

Your choices

Every email carries an unsubscribe link that works without signing in. You can delete your account and everything attached to it by asking, and it is done within seven days: write to support@deployedbyai.com from the address you signed up with. You can ask what is held about you at the same address, and you will get the answer, not a form.

Children

This publication is written for people who deploy software at work. It is not directed at children under 13 and no account is knowingly created for one.

Changes

When this page changes, the date below changes with it, and a change that affects what is collected is said in an edition rather than made quietly.
